Pocahontas County Magistrate Court Report

Marlinton, W.Va. – Here is the Pocahontas County Magistrate Court report for the period January 14-28. The report did not air last Monday, due to a national holiday. Charges are not made public until an initial appearance date is set. All those accused of crimes are presumed innocent until proven guilty.

Hometowns were not available this morning from the Magistrate Court.

Timothy Dean was charged on January 8 with Cruelty To Animals. Bond was set at $2,500.

Pamela Lea Hatfield was charged on January 8 with DUI. Bond was set at $500.

Devin C. Bussard was charged on January 11 with DUI. Bond was set at $500.

Clifton R. Summerfield, Jr. made an initial appearance on January 15 and was charged on November 9, 2012 with failure to register as a sex offender, 10 years. Summerfield pled no contest to a lesser included offense on January 15. The state agreed to no jail time and a fine of $250.

Scott E. Triplett made an initial appearance on January 15 and was charged on September 3, 2012 with Harassing Communications. Bond was set at $1,000.

Shannon Beck was charged on January 15 with Truancy. Bond was set at $500.

Carol C. Withers was charged on January 13 with DUI. Bond was set at $500.

Kayla Jones was charged on January 15 with Truancy. No bond was indicated.

Darrell Kimbrew was charged on January 15 with Truancy. No bond was indicated.

Lee Jay Hiner was charged on January 17 with False Pretenses. Bond was set at $1,000.

Richard W. Brakeville was charged on January 17 with False Pretenses. Bond was set at $1,000.

Harry R. Miller was charged on January 19 with Driving While License Suspended or Revoked (2nd offense); No Proof of Insurance and Registration Violation. Bond was set at $3,000 for all charges.

James A. Richard was charged on January 20 with Battery; Obstructing an Officer and Public Intoxication. Bond was set at $2,100 for all charges.

Mario Sevilla was charged on January 20 with Obstructing an Officer. Bond was set at $1,000.

Howard E. Adams was charged on January 23 with Domestic Battery. Bond was set at $1,000.

Galen Biggs was charged on January 23 with Person Prohibited Carrying A Firearm and Carrying a Dangerous Weapon. Bond was set $1,000.

Mary M. Lambert made an initial appearance on January 25 and was charged January 7 with Writing a Worthless Check. Lambert was ordered to pay a $1 fine, $190 court costs and make restitution in the amount of $36.08

Heather is our Program Director and Traffic Manager. She started with Allegheny Mountain Radio as a volunteer deejay. She then joined the AMR staff in February of 2007. Heather grew up in the Richmond, Virginia, area and now lives in Arbovale, West Virginia with her husband Chuck. Heather is a wonderful flute player, and choir director for Arbovale UMC. You can hear Heather along with Chuck on Tuesday nights from 6 to 8pm as they host two hours of jazz on Something Different.
