Pocahontas County woman caught up in Virginia Tech lockdown

Dunmore, WV – A Pocahontas County woman who was supposed to start her Master’s Degree program in English Literature today is instead spending the day holed up in her apartment, near the Virginia Tech campus in Blacksburg.

Kama Weatherholt says her first class as a graduate student was supposed to take place this evening. Virginia Tech has cancelled classes today as police search for homicide suspect William Morva who escaped from the Montgomery County Jail.

Heather grew up in the Richmond, Virginia, area and now lives in Arbovale, West Virginia with her husband Chuck. Heather is a wonderful flute player, and choir director for Arbovale UMC.
