Pocahontas grand jury – 2 people, 60 indictments

Former Pocahontas County prosecuting attorney Donna M. Price, of Marlinton,  was one of two individuals indicted by the Pocahontas County grand jury following their April 2014 session.  Price is charged with one felony count of embezzlement of funds in excess of $1000.00 during the period of June 10th, 2009 and December 31st, 2012.  Arraignment for Price will be delayed until a special judge is appointed.

Andrea D. Woody of Marlinton, faces 34 felony counts of forgery and 25 felony counts of uttering.  All the counts involve the bank account of one individual at City National Bank in excess of $15,000.00.   The alleged forgery and uttering counts took place in August and September of 2009.   Woody is scheduled to be arraigned on April 11th at 9am.

An indictment means that enough evidence was found by the grand jury to proceed to trial.  All individuals are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
