Pochaontas County Magistrate Court Report
Marlinton, W.Va. – Here is the Pocahontas County Magistrate Court report for the period December 17 to January 7. The report did not air the previous two Mondays, due to holidays. Charges are not made public until an initial appearance date has been set. All persons charged with crimes are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
On December 7, Joshua Dale Dean, of Hillsboro, was charged with two Game Violations.
On December 8, Marlon Andre Organ, Jr., of Harrisonburg, Va., was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance Less Than 15 Grams.
On December 17, Lucas Edward Shaffer, of Hillsboro, was charged with 14 counts of Destruction of Property. Bond was set at $500 on each count.
On December 17, Michael David Hensler, of Marlinton, was charged with 14 counts of Destruction of Property. Bond was set at $500 on each count.
On December 27, Robert B. Griffith, of Harrisonburg, Va., pleaded guilty to Reckless Driving. Griffith had been charged with DUI but pleaded down to the lesser offense. He was fined $250 and paid court costs of $190.
On December 30, Roy Lynn Walker, of Hillsboro, was charged with Domestic Battery. Bond was set at $1,000.
On December 31, Samantha Marie Sliker, of Independence, W.Va., was charged with Assault and Disorderly Conduct. Bond was set at $1,000 on each of the counts.
On December 31, Sandra L. Shinaberry, of Durbin, was charged with Domestic Battery. Bond was set at $500.
On December 31, Bren J. Pomponio, of Charleston, was charged with DUI. Bond was set at $1,000.
On January 1, Eric D. Prestwood, of Port Orange, Fla., was charged with DUI. Bond was set at $1,000.
On January 1, Jeremy G. Smith, of Buckeye, was charged with Obstructing an Officer. Bond was set at $1,500.
On January 1, Russell Brandon Haskins, of Lenoir, Tenn., was charged with DUI, Bond was set at $1,000.
On January 4, Cory D. Richardson, of Atlanta, Ga., was charged with Brandishing a Deadly Weapon and Obstructing an Officer. Bond was set at $100 on each of the counts.
On January 5, Thomas Edward Greenburg, of Sykesville, Md., was charged with DUI.
