Riley Resigns As Executive Director Of Garth Newel Music Center

Warm Springs, Va – Garth Newel Music Center has announced that Dick Riley has submitted his resignation as Executive Director effective Friday July 15. Riley and his wife Susan will return to Vermont where they will focus on their music-making and artistic careers.

While serving as Executive Director, Riley has welcomed a resident pianist to the piano quartet, overseen work to improve the Manor House, and supported the Allegheny Mountain String Project.

The Board of Directors of Garth Newel Music Center will meet on Saturday July 16 to plan for the transition and to discuss the search for a new administrator.

Heather is our Program Director and Traffic Manager. She started with Allegheny Mountain Radio as a volunteer deejay. She then joined the AMR staff in February of 2007. Heather grew up in the Richmond, Virginia, area and now lives in Arbovale, West Virginia with her husband Chuck. Heather is a wonderful flute player, and choir director for Arbovale UMC. You can hear Heather along with Chuck on Tuesday nights from 6 to 8pm as they host two hours of jazz on Something Different.
