The first Bath County Youth Sports Day gave kids to chance to play everything from golf to soccer to basketball. It brings out their natural love of the outdoors and fosters a sense of team spirit. Amanda O’Connor talks with some of the youngsters who came out to play.

The Needlework Show was kind of a motherless child, with all the work piled onto coordinators who had other things to do. But this year, the three Pocahontas County Quilt Guilds have adopted the show, and they’re giving it new life.
