#28 – Fried Bananas
#28 – Fried Bananas
A somewhat healthy dessert recipe! If you like banana bread or banana pudding, you’ll love this dessert and you can make it in a fraction of the time
Bananas, cut into rounds
Butter, atleast 2 tablespoons
Cinnamon
Honey (optional – probably less than 1 tablespoon)
Salt to taste (optional – gives a salted caramel effect)
- Melt butter on medium heat in a non-stick pan,
- Once the butter begins to bubble slightly, put banana slices in, making sure that each piece is in direct contact with the pan. Sprinkle lightly with cinnamon.
- Swirl the bananas in the pan occasionally until you reach the level of browning desired.
- Once that side has a nice browning, flip each banana slice over to fry the other side. Sprinkle with cinnamon again. If desired, add a touch of honey by drizzling it quickly back and forth – you don’t need very much to make an impact. Swirl pan to completely coat the pieces.
- Salt to taste and enjoy! These are great on their own, but would be heavenly with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.
