Town of Marlinton Remains Under Boil Water Advisory

Marlinton, WV – The town of Marlinton is currently under a boil water advisory until further notice. Water samples returned to the town water plant last week were cleared as safe by the Pocahontas County health dept. However, since there are still high levels of turbidity in the water, the health dept has requested that the town change the filters and sand used in the water plant.

The boil water advisory will remain in effect until staff at the plant receive the parts necessary to make the required repairs. That work is estimated to be complete by the first week of April. Text only
