Traffic Restrictions For Bath County
Single-lane traffic and occasional brief closures are scheduled for a portion of Route 220 (Sam Snead Highway) in Bath County. These traffic restrictions begin Monday, April 10, and should be complete in mid-May. They will allow contractors to make slope repairs just north of the Cascades golf course, between Route 684 (Incubator Hollow Road) and Route 608 (Tinkertown Road).
Flaggers will control traffic Monday through Saturday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. In addition, safety considerations due to the movement of large equipment may occasionally require all Route 220 traffic to be stopped for no more than 15 minutes at a time. The right northbound shoulder of the roadway will be closed 24/7 until slope repairs are complete. All work is weather permitting.
