West Virginia election deadlines nearing

Marlinton, W.Va. – Election Day is Tuesday, November 6 and some important deadlines are nearing for Pocahontas County voters.

The Pocahontas County Clerk’s Office will have extended hours for new voter registration, address & name changes and political party changes. The office will be open Friday October 12 from 8:30 a.m. to 8p.m.; Saturday October 13 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Monday October 15 from 8:30 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Early voting in Pocahontas County will be held between October 24 and November 3 at the Courthouse in Marlinton. The hours are Monday-Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Saturday, 9a.m. to 5 p.m.

To vote on Election Day, voters should report to the polling place listed on their voter registration card, between the hours of 6:30 a.m. and 7:30 p.m. Please call the Pocahontas County Clerk’s Office at 304-799-4549 for more information.
