Holstine explained that the any area of the county that is awarded by the Rural Digital Opportunity Fund (RDOF) to Frontier -which is a big chunk of the county- is ineligible for other government grants or for American Rescue Plan broadband funding, yet under the RDOF rules, Frontier is not required to provide fast broadband to its designated areas until at least 2027.
