So, while all of us at Allegheny Mountain Radio wish a very happy and healthy New Year for all our listeners, it is reassuring to know that the West Virginia Department of Health will be better prepared in 2026 just in case you find yourself in need their help.

Being questionable, or not, the Executive Session did seem to be very productive. When the meeting returned to open session after about an hour, both the SWA members and the Mecks were all smiles.

The commissioners have scheduled a special meeting for Tuesday, December 23rd to consider authorizing such actions, however that meeting will be cancelled if an informal settlement is reached Friday.

They warn people to not use a gas stove or oven to heat your home, and to be very careful while using space heaters to not overload electric circuits, and not place them near combustible materials like furniture, bedding or curtains, and be aware of the dangers of Carbon Monoxide.

They are now firmly committed to not building their own transfer station but instead using the future transfer station Allegheny Disposal LLC will be building near Green Bank.
