Connie Rose accepted the nomination, and was elected Board President, Regina Hall was elected Board President.

Wagner had been the Assistant Principal/Special Education Supervisor at the school, and has had many years’ experience in various teaching positions.

Siers has been among the group of citizens who want to see other options besides just building a transfer station put out on an open bid.  

Sam Gibson made a motion to not hire Michael McWilliams as the Assistant Principal/Athletic Director for County-Wide Secondary Schools. His motion did not receive a second, causing it to fail and as a result, McWilliams was hired with Gibson’s vote being the only “no” vote.

That additional time could be very critical for the county

Ryder explained that he proposed funding the bid engineers for the SWA because he thought that the community supported competitive bidding on the transfer station, as opposed to simply contracting it out to JacMal Properties. He quickly found out from the community members present that they do not want a transfer station to be placed out for bid; instead, they now want an open bid which would allow bidders to propose other options besides just a transfer station.
