That year, melting snow in the mountains combined with warm temperatures to wreak havoc on those who lived along the Greenbrier River. Some sports make money, and some don’t, but whatever sport your child plays is likely the most important one in your eyes. Pocahontas County High School Principal Tom Sanders told the Board of Education at their Monday night meeting that the athletic program at the high school is in financial trouble.
